Blair Waldorf and Seth Cohen are getting married. What kind of crazy world are we living in?

Two former teen-soap stars, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, have been quietly dating at least since February, when they were first publicly linked. The pair has never officially announced their relationship, but they haven’t been all that discreet: they were recently seen holding hands out in New York City and have been photographed together in Los Angeles on multiple occasions, usually as each other’s dates to some premiere or party.

Adam Brody and Leighton Meester worked together on “The Oranges” in 2011, which may have been when their romance started.

While Leighton has never talked openly about her relationship with Brody, she alluded to falling in love in a 2012 interview with Cosmopolitan, saying:

“I haven’t been in a lot of relationships, but I’ve been in love. There’s an inexplicable chemistry. You just really, really want to, like, stare at the person. I’ve never fallen in love right off the bat. I get scared to say I love you too soon because it means so much. It means you’re not seeing an end to things.”

Clearly neither Brody or Meester saw an end to their relationship.

Wonderwall was the first to break the happy news, saying:

“A spy tells us Leighton and Adam celebrated the happy news with close friends and family at an engagement bash in Los Angeles on Nov. 10.”

No further details about their engagement or upcoming nuptials have emerged, but imagine what a Blair Waldorf/Seth Cohen wedding would be like? Would it take place in sunny California with some indie band supplying the music, or would Blair insist on a million-dollar ceremony in some prestigious Upper East Side church with a $1,000-a-plate reception and an after party at the hottest spot in the city?

Probably the latter. Blair always did get her way.

J-Connection: Adam Brody is Jewish. Seth Cohen may have invented the term “Chrismukkah.” Mazel.
