Adam Sandler is throwing some love for Israel into the mix as he continues his media tour promoting his new film “Pixels.”
The Jewish actor sat down for an interview with the Israeli daily paper Ynet, and revealed his support for the Jewish state.
“I always had a great connection with Israel and the fact that the Israelis are like the Zohan, that makes me feel great,” Sandler said.
The Zohan comment is a reference to Sandler’s film “You Don’t Mess With the Zohan,” in which the actor portrays an Israeli ex Mossad agent turned hair dresser.
In “Pixels,” which also stars Josh Gad, Kevin James and Peter Dinklage, Sandler and a team of video game experts must combat a series of gaming characters like Pac Man and Donkey Kong, which have come to life to overtake the planet. Oy vey!
