The Oscar winner was presented with a United Leadership Award at the museum’s What You Do Matters dinner in Los Angeles on Thursday night. Kingsley was given the honor to mark his efforts to raise awareness of the Holocaust, including his acclaimed role in the 1993 movie “Schindler’s List.”

In the film, Kingsley portrayed Oskar Schindler’s real life accountant, Itzhak Stern.

Kingsley, 70, was presented the award by Hollywood actress Kate Beckinsale, who was on hand to help raise money for the charity event.
