Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed a new group of Israeli citizens, which will also include 59 new recruits for the Israeli Defense Forces.

Jewish immigration to Israel is commonly known as aliyah, and groups work to welcome these new residents home. Joining the IDF is just one aspect of Israeli life many young olim partake in.

From the prime minister:

States on an El Al charter flight organized by Nefesh B’Nefesh, in cooperation with the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption and the Jewish Agency for Israel. From this group, 59 young people will be joining the Israel Defense Forces.

To the soon-to-be soldiers: I salute you. To all the new citizens: Welcome home. The people of Israel are so proud of you.
