At least three people are dead and several others severely injured following a shooting in Tel Aviv this afternoon, in the most serious terror attack on the city in some months.

An estimated two Palestinian gunmen opened fire at the popular Sarona Market in the busy Israeli city, with several reports stating the assailants were disguised as ultra-Orthodox Jews. Both perpetrators, who have been confirmed as relatives from somewhere near Hebron, were taken into custody alive, though one was non-fatally shot.

Benjamin Netanyahu, who landed in Israel late today after a diplomatic trip to Russia, was briefed upon arrival.

At least five injuries have been reported, with one victim in serious condition. The identities of the three deceased have not been released.
