Who says nice guys always finish last? Certainly not the Jhunks of this year’s “Nice Jewish Guys Calendar,” which was released this December, much to the delight of worrying bubbes everywhere.

The fourth annual calendar has partnered with Jewish dating website JDate to provide 12 months of adorable good-looking bachelors for your viewing pleasure–and perhaps to bring home to mom? Men like John, a “meatloaf-loving martial artist” whose most Jewish attribute is his hair, or Adam, “every bubbe’s dream come true.”

Calendar’s founder Adam Cohen told Blog with Benefits that the whole idea for the project started as a joke. There are calendars featuring hunky firemen, hunky construction workers, even hunky Roman Catholic priests, so why not a calendar for nice Jewish men you can bring home to mom?

But Cohen, also the TV producer of Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars,” said quickly realized that he might have hit on something real.

“As I got into it I started realizing it was more of a cultural comment and it became a more serious endeavor, yet still with good humor,” Cohen told the blog. “What happened was that I realized I was now carrying the torch for all the nice guys who get passed up in the bar, are still good to their moms, and are a good catch, but the women just don’t know it yet. As it started coming out I started getting tons of feedback from women who absolutely adore these guys.”

Apparently, women of all religions have a “fetish” for the nice Jewish guy, Cohen added.

The Huffington Post caught up with one of those nice guys, Adam Epelbaum, 22, one of four bachelors featured on the JDate-sponsored January 2015 bonus page.

Epelbaum said his best attribute is definitely his listening abilities.

“I’m a really great listener, probably one of the better listeners I know,” he told HuffPo. “I’m easygoing, and I don’t harp on small things. I know how to make a random Tuesday feel like a three-day weekend.”

Epelbaum added that his family is always very interested in his JDate profile.

“Every time I go home for the holidays it’s one of the main topics from my family,” he said.

The calendar is available for $15 at Urban Outfitters and through the Nice Jewish Guys website.
