For the second year in a row, the Houston Rockets celebrated Hanukkah with their own rendition of the ‘Dreidel Song.’
The two and a half minute video isn’t exactly the classic Hanukkah song you grew up with, but the team gives it a solid try. “Isn’t this a Jewish thing?” Chandler Parsons asks early on. “Omri is probably money.”
Except that Omri Casspi, the first Israeli to play in the NBA, isn’t “money.” He reads the lyrics off a sheet of paper and struggles with the tune.
Star center Dwight Howard and power forward Terrence Jones are instead the stars of the video, throwing down beats to spice up the song. Aaron Brooks adds comedy with the theme song to the “Animaniacs” cartoon.
