Benjamin Netanyahu met last night with American-Jewish children who traveled to Israel as part of a wish fulfillment program.
The Israeli prime minister was joined by his wife, First Lady Sara Netanyahu, in interacting with the youths, who suffer primarily from cancer and muscular dystrophy.
The trip was organized by Chai Lifeline, a non-profit that helps arrange visits to Israel for critically ill children through its Hartman Family Wish at the Wall program.
“This is your home. We are all together,” Netanyahu said. “If you can overcome your struggles, I can help Israel overcome its struggle.”
The prime minister shared photos of his meeting on his Facebook wall, writing, “The meeting was warm and exciting. Sarah and I blessed them and their families and we wished them a lot of happiness and health.”
