The only important part of the Super Bowl is the ads, right? No one actually cares about the game? By Monday morning everyone will have forgotten who won, but they’ll remember seeing Betty White do a strip tease to sell bleach (or something) and seeing a new trailer for the latest blockbuster.

This year, the Super Bowl ads are getting biblical thanks to a new trailer for the upcoming epic “Noah.” Directed by Darren Aronofsky (of “Black Swan” fame) and starring Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly and Emma Watson (yay Hermione!) this movie will tell the story of Noah, his ark and that big flood we all read about in Hebrew school.

Here’s an official synopsis of the film:

“‘Noah’ is a close adaptation of the Biblical story of Noah’s Ark. In a world ravaged by human sin, Noah is given a divine mission: to build an Ark to save creation from the coming flood. The screenplay was written by Aronofsky and Ari Handel and revised by Academy Award-nominated screenwriter John Logan.”

J-Connection: The biblical Noah and the Hollywood actress Jennifer Connelly are both Jewish.
