5. Metzitzim Beach

Formerly known as Sheraton Beach, this beautiful stretch of beach begins to the north of the center of Tel Aviv. The stretch of sand, which draws its name from an Israeli cult film from the 1960s, draws an understated “cool crowd.” There are beaches that cater to gay sunbathers, religious sunbathers as well as dog-owners, but one of the biggest draws is the beach’s warm, man-made lagoon.
