israel facebook

Remember that recent Facebook campaign, where users could watch a short video compiling some of the top moments and images from their time using the social media platform?

Well now there’s an Israeli parody, and it’s something of a tearjerker.

The video was produced by Jerusalem U, an online portal for Jewish distance learning. The clip combines the uplifting with the bittersweet of Israel’s 65 years of existence, with quotes from Herzl and Ben-Gurion and pictures like the raising of the Ink Flag, Holocaust survivors landing on Jewish soil, the Entebbe site, and a portrait of killed astronaut Ilan Ramon.

Watch the video below and share with anyone who needs a reminder of just how far we’ve come. Am Yisrael chai.
