For October, Yad Vashem is sharing historic photos from the Holocaust, images taken during this month during the Shoah.

The pictures range from stark to moving, with some pictures showing Jewish victims being deported to camps, and some showing victims ables to escape via boat thanks to the help of heroic non-Jews.

Yad Vashem is Israel’s Holocaust memorial and trust, devoted to preserving the memories of the Shoah.
