A music video for the Bob Dylan classic “Like a Rolling Stone” is causing a sensation online, aided by some serious Israeli innovation.
The clip, the first official attempt at making a music video to the rock hit, was put together by Vania Heymann, an Israeli viral phenomenon, using technology from the digital agency Interlude.
Interlude creates unique choose-your-own-adventure videos, and allows users to interact with what they’re watching. The company, which has offices in both Tel Aviv and New York, has already been lauded with awards from MTV and Intel in its short history.
The Bob Dylan result is incredibly entertaining to watch, giving the experience of flipping through channels in which all personalities, from sports telecasters to Drew Carey on “The Price Is Right,” sing along to the music.
“I’m using the medium of television to look back right at us,” Heymann told Mashable, where the video debuted on Tuesday. “You’re flipping yourself to death with switching channels [in real life].”
“You’ll always miss something because you can’t watch everything at the same time,” added Interlude founder and CEO Yoni Bloch.
