Yad Vashem paid tribute to the start of a new school year this week, sharing some rare photos of Holocaust-era children likewise taking to the classroom.
In the images, viewers can see Jewish pupils with their teachers, in their schools, and on the playground before, during and after World War II.
Yad Vashem is Israel’s Holocaust museum and trust, and dedicates itself to preserving the memories of the Shoah.
From Yad Vashem:
As the new school year begins, please view and share these special photos of Jewish schoolchildren before, during and immediately after the Holocaust.
