A new luxury watch set for release this year will have some decidedly Hebrew influence.
The new Decalogue timepiece designed by watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin will be dedicated to Judaica, with Hebrew characters in place to mark the hours.
Chaykin has previously released a version of the Decalogue for consumers, with this new version inspired by the Ten Commandments and the lunar calendar of the Jewish tradition.
The Russian designer revealed recently that his design places the Hebrew characters in a counterclockwise position, so that the letters can be read from right to left in accordance with the Hebrew language.
Chaykin also said the design was inspired by Hebrew artwork, religious design elements, and the Temple of Solomon.
The watch will retail for an estimated $33,000.
