Shimon Peres was released from the hospital today, just two days after being rushed to care while experiencing chest pains.

This most recent hospital stay followed a week after the former Israeli president and prime minister also suffered a mild heart attack.

From Peres’s press office:

“Ninth President Shimon Peres was released a few minutes ago from the Tel HaShomer Sheba Medical Center. Peres was admitted to the hospital on Sunday evening following a slight heart arrhythmia, and remained in the hospital an extra day for observation at the request of the medical team. According to Peres’ doctors, all test results were normal and he has now been released home from the hospital.”
